~Trying to Stay Positive~

Hello everyone, just wanted to update y'all on our progress.
Well, as you can tell in June we were very excited because I actually ovulated.....but July, August, September, October gave is no such luck! :-(
We are going to be starting a new treatment this time around. I have been taking oral fertility meds up to this point, but this cycle I'm going to start taking injectable meds. My Dr says the oral meds just aren't strong enough for me. So, we will be starting the injectables the beginning of November. Clint will have to give me 1 shot every night for 10 days. I will have to go to Brandon or Tampa every other day for ultrasounds and blood work. So, needless to say, this treatment is going to be a lot more expensive than we're used to. My oral meds cost me 20 dollars and these shots are anywhere from 680 dollars to 1800 dollars a month. Plus, my ultrasounds are going to cost us 50 dollars every time!
We're gonna have a garage sale November 20th at our house to help raise money for the treatments. Please come by and see us or if anyone wants to donate anything to the garage sale, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
Hopefully soon, I will be able to give good news! Please keep the Prayers coming!!!!
Love to all!!!!

~I Worked~

Got a phone call from my fertility Dr's office today...

Monday I went in for them to do bloodwork to see if I ovulated this month or not. The nurse told me the higher the number the better.

For example: 5 - OK ovulation
10 - Good ovulation

My number was 12.1, which the nurse said was wonderful!!! So, I ovulated!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is such a big step for us! Being that last year, I ovulated 2 times total!!!!! We're sooo excited!
I get to take a test on Sunday. So, please keep praying and keep those fingers and toes crosse!!!
Love to all!!!!

~It Looks Like I've Got A Lot of Catching Up to Do!~

Sorry y'all, I've been MIA from the blogging scene for almost a year now. I just wanted to update you all on the activities that have been going on in our life.

Well, most of you already know that we have been seeing an infertility specialist since September 2009. I have been through all kinds of tests to determine what is wrong with me and to figure out why we're having such a hard time getting pregnant. Sometimes I feel like a guinea pig. :-) I know that some of you could care less about all this, but still feel it's very important information to share and interesting too. For anyone who has been through all of this, I have so much admiration for you.
Well, here it goes....

So, Clint has been checked - he's fine. :-)
Me on the other hand - what isn't wrong with me? LOL!

I had surgery April 13th to open up my blocked fallopian tube and as the Dr was in there, he found endometriosis and polyps that he cauterized and removed. So, the surgery was a success!

Now, I am being monitored very closely to see if my ovaries are working to make new eggs like they should every month. I went in today for an ultrasound to see if the ovaries were filling up with eggs. The technician looked at my left ovary first and didn't see any eggs. Then she went to the right ovary and found that it had a few. So, she said it's not as many as she hoped, but definitely better than none at all. :-) She measured the 1 good egg that was there and it was approximately 16mm. In order for it to be considered a good, ready egg, it must be 19 - 24mm. So I go back Friday to have it measured again. If it's of good size when we go back, Clint will give me a shot Friday night to make the eggs release from the ovary. And supposedly, 36-40 hours later, I should be fertile. :-) So, I'm very hopeful!

I do want to thank those of you who have said prayers and sent their thoughts and well wishes our way. It really does mean sooo much to us that you care.

We have prayed and hoped so hard through all of this! We know that it will all be worth it in the end when we have our miracle to hold in our arms. Hopefully, next blog will be an exciting one with the headline being WE DID IT!!! :-)

~10 Year Reunion, Day 2~

Saturday was our day for good ole' Bar-B-Q at the Frostproof Depot! We had Sonny's cater, so you know it was good! This was the day that we got to meet everyone's children. I tell you what, our class makes pretty babies!!! We all decided that our next reunion will be in the Winter as this one was soooo hot! I think the heat index that day was 112 degrees! Can you believe that? And for those other Frostproofians out there, you know how hot it is in that Depot!

Although there weren't many people that attended this reunion, it was sooo nice to be able to catch up with everyone and see and hear about what they've been doing the last 10 years. I look forward to many, many more class reunions. The good ole' Frostproof High School Class of 99'.

~My 10 Year High School Reunion, Friday night~

I can not believe 10 years has gone by since High School! It wen't by extremely fast! I still remember being in High School with everyone telling us...don't rush these years, these are the best days of your life, you're gonna miss this! Why didn't I listen to them? :-)

We did a Memorial Table for Travis Horner, Joey Crockett, and Ricky Underwood. Man, I miss those quys! They were definitely taken from us way too soon and are missed very much!

Well, I got to meet up with a lot of people that I haven't seen since graduation! We started off the reunion weekend by having dinner at Julianne's Fine Dining in Lakeland on Friday night. We had about 30 classmates there and about 40-45 people altogether. So, it was a small turnout, but still nice to see those that did come. We had such a great time catching up and we even watched our old High School Yearbook video! Talk about embarrassing?!?

~OK, So I'm New at This~

Hello everyone, this is officially my first blog! :-) I really am new at this and I have to admit, I'm a little stumped at what to type. Can you believe, me at a loss for words??? I know, I talk way too much, but it's totally different blogging! :-)

Well, I guess I can start with Our Story....

I met Clint when I worked at State Farm. I still remember the first time I met him. He was trying to be sooo cocky and I didn't even think he was cute at first! (Sorry Babe!) As many of you know, I was married once before Clint....and well, most of you know why it ended and for those that don't....It's a LONG story, maybe another Blog! :-) But anyways, Clint and I became good friends throughout my time at State Farm and when I was going through my divorce, he was always there for me. He himself had been through the process, so he really knew what to say and do to make the situation better. Well, after I left State Farm, May 2004, Clint and I really started to hang out more. I thought for sure we'd lose contact with each other, but we didn't. I still remember our first date...August 2004: He took me to Orlando to Ripley's Believe it or Not and at this point in my life, I really wasn't looking for anything serious...I had just gotten out of a 2 year marriage and had sworn off men for a long time!!! (Ladies, you know how that is) But it never works out that way does it??? Well, I remember that day how all of a sudden...this guy who I thought was cocky and not even all that cute, somehow looked so handsome to me! We would talk on the phone every day, and I remember one day thinking to myself....I Love Him! I looked forward to his calls, I looked forward to his voice, I just always looked forward to everything that had something to do with him! I never thought in a million years that I would be falling for someone. But that's how God works! He gives you that special someone when you least expect it!

I'm so Thankful to have such a wonderful husband! He really does take good care of me! We got married July 7, 2007. Yes, we chose 7/7/07! :-) I love the number! What can I say?

Clint and I do not have any children yet....but hopefully within the next year or so, we will. We have have been trying and I've been on fertility for 13 months now. We did conceive in August last year, but miscarried in October. It was devastating! But it brought us closer! He was very strong for me at that time and I love him for that! So, for now, our children have 4 legs. :) Titan is our Harlequin Great Dane, he is 5. And Chopper is our Maltese, who is going to be 4 on June 9th.

Well, I guess this isn't bad for my first blog! :-) Especially since I didn't even know what to blog about! :-) I'm proud of myself! I hope you all enjoyed our story!
